Wife of 4th cousin to Harriet C. Chatfield  - Burr Jay Davis, who grew up next door to Harriet. Her brother-in-law, Harpin Davis, married the sister of Harriet Crittendon Chatfield. Sister of Julia Augusta Fairchild who married Samuel Pierpont Sanford who also signed the quilt.  Ellen Jane Fairchild dau of Nathan Beecher & Augusta (Sherman) Fairchild  b: May 24, 1833 Seymour, New Haven, CT  md: Burr Jay "Jay" Davis Dec 09, 1857 Oxford, New Haven, CT d: July 35, 1863, age 30 years.
