Sister to another quilt signer,   Ellen Fairchild OxfordPast.net family tree She married another quilt signer Burr Jay Davis Her sister's husband, Burr Jay Davis, grew up in the house next door to Harriet Crittendon Chatfield. Her sister's brother-in-law, Harpin Davis, married the sister of Harriet Crittendon Chatfield. Sister of Julia Augusta Fairchild who married Samuel P. Sanford who also signed the quilt.. Her father, Nathan B. Fairchild,  represented Oxford in the State Legislature in 1833 -- see Sharpe, page 177
