The Oxford Historical Society
seeks to preserve Oxford's local history through its programs and collections.
The Society is currently raising funds and working to preserve the Twitchell-Rowland
Homestead for use as a museum/history education center.
Volunteers are sought for
the following projects and programs:

Volunteers are sought for making
audio/video tapes of interviews of long-time Oxford
residents. Appointments will be set up with older residents
at the Oxford Public Library. Volunteers to conduct the interviews, videotape
the interviews, and transcribe the recorded interviews. For more

In the coming months the society
will rely on volunteers in preparing the homestead and its opening exhibits,
gardening and landscape at the site, and continuing program activities.
