The Oxford Historical Society seeks to preserve Oxford's local history through its programs and collections. The Society is currently raising funds and working to preserve the Twitchell-Rowland Homestead for use as a museum/history education center.

Volunteers are sought for the following projects and programs:

• Volunteers are needed for painting sessions to be held at the homestead every Saturday and Sunday in October.  See information http://www.oxford-historical-society.org/painting-october.html

• Volunteers are sought for an on-going project to photograph the barns of Oxford.  See information located at http://www.oxford-historical-society.org/barn-project.htm.

• Volunteers are sought for making audio/video tapes of interviews of long-time Oxford residents.  Appointments will be set up with older residents at the Oxford Public Library. Volunteers to conduct the interviews, videotape the interviews, and transcribe the recorded interviews.  For more information on this project, please use the email link below.
