March is Women's History Month. This month we will feature 100 photos of Oxford's women through history. Today's first photo shows Henrietta Chandler and Louisa Beardsley enjoying a quiet moment in the countryside. (Chatfield Family Photo Collection.) The second photo shows Ruth Sanford in her garden on Academy Road, now the Tottenham Studios. Ruth set up a tea house busines in her home known as "The Spinning Wheel." (Sanford Family Photo Collections) Our third photo today features Alice Cable playing the piano at home at 64 Great Hill Road. Her father, Nelson, was farm manager at the S. B. Church farm, Oxfordshire. The Cable home is now the Fred Ortoli Photography Studio. Coming at the end of this month, Oxford's MOST HISTORIC WOMAN. Can you guess who that might be?
